No — we don’t provide Uber/Bolt accounts or driving work. We rent suitable PHV cars to licensed drivers near Manchester/Salford. #PHV #UberDriver #Manchester
If you’re looking for an Uber/Bolt account or someone to ‘put work on’ for you, that isn’t what we do. Join Veritas Hire is for drivers who already have their own private hire badge and want a rental car they can use on platforms like Uber and Bolt.
Below is what we can help with, and what we’ll need from you to check you’re eligible.
At a glance
- PHV drivers only (we don’t rent to the general public)
- Accepted badge councils: Wolverhampton, Sefton, Trafford, Knowsley, or Manchester
- You must live within about 50 miles of Manchester/Salford
- Cars suitable for Uber and Bolt (you use your own driver accounts)
- What we’ll ask for: your badge council + your home postcode
What we do (and who it suits)
We provide PHV taxi rental for working drivers who are already licensed and want a reliable car to get on with the job. Most drivers come to us when their own car is off the road, they’re switching vehicles, or they’d rather not tie up money in buying a car.
Our rentals are aimed at drivers doing local trips, station and city work, and airport runs around Greater Manchester — using their own Uber/Bolt accounts (or any other operator/platform they already work with).
Quick eligibility rules (badge + where you live)
There are two main checks:
- Your badge must be from Wolverhampton, Sefton, Trafford, Knowsley, or Manchester councils.
- You must live within about 50 miles of Manchester/Salford.
Badge area and work area aren’t always the same — and that’s where drivers get caught out. You can work in Manchester even if your badge is from one of the accepted councils listed above. What matters to us is the badge council and your home address distance from Manchester/Salford.
If you live more than about 50 miles away, we won’t be able to offer a rental.
Vehicles you can expect (examples)
We typically supply practical PHV saloons that suit city driving and longer shifts. Examples include:
- Toyota Prius
- Skoda Octavia
- Kia Ceed
- Similar PHV-ready saloons (depending on what’s available)
If you’ve got a preference (for example, hybrid/automatic for stop-start Manchester traffic), tell us when you get in touch and we’ll advise based on current availability.
What to have ready (so we can check you quickly)
- Your badge council (Wolverhampton / Sefton / Trafford / Knowsley / Manchester)
- Your home postcode (to confirm you’re within the local radius)
- A quick note of how you work: Uber, Bolt, or both (just so we understand your use)
- Any vehicle preference (saloon, hybrid, automatic, boot space)
Next steps
Send us your badge council and home postcode and we’ll confirm whether we can rent to you. If you’re eligible, we can talk through what vehicles are currently available and what you need to bring along.
FAQs
Can I work in Manchester with a Trafford/Sefton/Knowsley/Wolverhampton badge?
Yes — drivers can work in Manchester as long as your badge is from one of the councils we accept (Wolverhampton, Sefton, Trafford, Knowsley, or Manchester).
What if I live more than 50 miles away?
We only rent to drivers who live within about 50 miles of Manchester/Salford, so we wouldn’t be able to offer a rental.
Do you provide Uber/Bolt accounts or driving work?
No. We don’t supply Uber/Bolt accounts, job allocations, or guaranteed work. We provide the rental car (and you use your own driver accounts and choose when/where you work).
What do you need from me to check eligibility?
Your badge council and your home postcode. That lets us confirm you meet the licence and local-area requirements.
What cars do you usually have?
Common examples are Toyota Prius, Skoda Octavia, and Kia Ceed (and similar PHV saloons). It depends on what’s available at the time.
Do you rent to non-PHV drivers?
No — we only rent to licensed private hire taxi drivers.
