We rent PHV cars to licensed private hire taxi drivers who need a reliable saloon for day-to-day work around Greater Manchester.
Most drivers who come to us are doing regular app work, mixes of day shifts and nights, or airport runs, and want a car that’s comfortable, easy on fuel, and simple to live with week to week.
Eligibility checks we do before handover
We keep this practical. Before we agree a handover, we check you meet two core rules:
- Badge council: your private hire driver badge must be from Wolverhampton, Sefton, Trafford, Knowsley, or Manchester.
- Where you live: you need to live within about 50 miles of Manchester/Salford. If you’re outside that distance, we won’t be able to offer a rental.
Common badge confusion (badge vs where you work vs where you live):
- Your badge council is who you’re licensed by (the council that issued your driver licence/badge).
- Where you work can be Manchester even if your badge is from one of the accepted councils listed above.
- Where you live is separate again — we use your home postcode to make sure you’re within our local rental area.

- Your home postcode (we’ll use this to confirm you’re within about 50 miles).
- A valid driving licence and any ID we ask for so we can match details correctly.
- Your contact number and preferred working area (helps us point you to a suitable car type).
- If you’re planning to work Uber/Bolt, be ready to confirm you understand you’ll be using your own accounts.
